Web Intercom is a voice comms system designed for production crews working on live streams and studio shows.
It delivers low audio latency, stable channels, and precise role/routing assignments.
It runs in the browser and on mobile devices, removing the need for dedicated hardware and enabling communication from anywhere.
Our store offers dedicated panels and bodypacks that work with Web Intercom, but the system can also run standalone as a web intercom for distributed productions.
It's a far more affordable alternative to classic intercom systems, offering flexibility and easy rollout without big hardware spend.
Web Intercom is an advanced communications solution built for broadcast, events, and distributed live teams. It addresses the critical need for reliable, low-latency voice comms between directors, camera ops, vision and sound engineers, producers, and technical crews.
Its architecture is designed for stable operation in studios, on location, and in remote productions. Communication runs with minimal delay, crucial for synchronized actions during live shows. The system supports dedicated channels, comms groups, and precise audio routing to mirror classic beltpack and keypanel setups.
The web interface provides central management of users, roles, and permissions. Operators can create channels for specific tasks or production segments and control access and visibility. Push-to-talk, mute, level control, and channel mixing give full control over comms flow.
Web Intercom also integrates with external audio systems, VOIP, and hardware mixers/matrices via converters available in our store. This unifies teams using different technologies in one environment. Redundant links and automatic path switching improve resilience to network issues.
Mobility and flexibility are built in: it works on computers, tablets, and phones, even on constrained networks. Field teams, mobile ops, and remote staff can collaborate seamlessly with the control room.
In practice, Web Intercom simplifies coordination, reduces comms errors, and increases smoothness of live productions. It's for organizations that treat production comms as a critical element of quality and safety.
Hardware panels and bodypacks
In our store you'll find dedicated panels and bodypacks compatible with Web Intercom, delivering classic intercom ergonomics with browser convenience. They're ideal for productions that want traditional operation with modern flexibility. Devices include a SIM slot and can work in the field without Wi‑Fi, perfect for remote and event work. You can buy the hardware when logged in as a broadcaster, and configure/manage it in the Web Intercom panel via your browser.
